This Cabaret workshop allows for the exploration of the Cabaret art form using intimate, informal spaces, as yourself, not a character, and using song lyrics and patter to tell your story, not someone else’s.
When some people hear the word “cabaret” they think burlesque and Vegas showgirls. This isn’t that. Cabaret (the art form, not the musical) is about performing in intimate, informal spaces—as yourself, not a character—and using song lyrics and patter to tell your story, not someone else’s.
It’s deeply gratifying and harder than it sounds. When the fourth session ends after a “mini” cabaret performance, you will leave having met new people, shared more of yourself than you expected to, and experienced the power of connection that comes from hearing others and being heard.
