The Theatre Lab’s annual Dramathon returns! This is the most exciting, exhilarating performance of the year as generous, professional actors along with fundraising students and friends of The Theatre Lab perform staged readings of world-premiere short plays! The plays are written by professional playwrights and staged by professional directors specifically for this one-night show. Some of DC’s brightest stars on stage will join Theatre Lab students and alums in world premiere readings of plays written to raise money for youth scholarships.

The Dramathon is just like a Walk-a-thon but, instead of getting friends to support you as you walk a distance course, this time around they’ll support you to “walk the boards” alongside some of Washington’s best-known actors. To earn your spot in the limelight, you need to raise a minimum of $100 in support of our Send a Kid to Theatre Camp campaign.

This year’s Dramathon will take place in person at the home of The Theatre Lab (900 Massachusetts Ave NW). It’s free to watch, but performers must raise $100 to perform. Donate to your favorite performers ahead of the event and help The Theatre Lab continue to transform lives through theatre education.
