This course is a practical introduction to hip-hop theatre in historical context. Learn and practice all the skills involved, while exploring the history of both this unique art form and hip-hop itself, including the huge role played by Washington, DC artists. Each student will create a short autobiographical performance piece incorporating monologue, emceeing (rapping), and dance. No experience required. Instructor: J.J. Johnson
