Amanda Geyer (she/her/hers) is a Costume Designer, Stitcher, and Wardrobe Technician. A graduate from the University of Virginia, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, an interdisciplinary degree, with a concentration in Global Public Health.

Amanda was the Costume Shop Apprentice at Round House Theatre in Bethesda, MD for the 2022-2023 season. While there, she had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the costuming process – from design meetings to costume construction to wardrobe.

Since finishing her apprenticeship, Amanda sought out opportunities to grow in every aspect of costuming. As a Design Assistant at Utah Festival Opera, she had the opportunity to bring her own ideas to the costuming of ensemble groups and to maintain fitting notes and look lists for multiple shows; as a Dresser at The REV Theatre Company, she enjoyed the chance to work as part of a tight-knit, adaptable team and to learn what makes a costume great from the side of the actors and the wardrobe technicians.

Amanda's personal work philosophy is that there is not any job that is too small, nor any experience that isn’t an opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. This drive and positive attitude is an integral part of what she brings to every show that she has worked on.
