Helen Cheng Mao is a Maryland playwright and actor who has written and performed in plays and monologues produced across the US and in the UK. Her plays have been read at the Valdez Theatre Conference and the Mid-America Theater Conference. Some plays and monologues can be viewed on Helen’s YouTube Channel. On stage, Helen has performed with Voices Festivals Productions, Nu Sassa Productions, Olney Theatre Center, Silver Spring Stage, Greenbelt Arts Center, The Rude Mechanicals, Rated S Sketch Comedy, and more. Outside of theater, Helen is a freelance writer, proofreader, and editor. She also instructs communications and clinical skills to medical students as a standardized patient.
