Sarah Velkovich is a sound engineer, designer, and technician.
In Spring 2022, she graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in music and a minor in Psychology. While she went to school for music, she became very interested in audio production and engineering. While working with a local theatre company in her hometown, she transitioned from assistant music directing in theatre to sound design/engineering in theatre in her free time and has not turned back since.
She was recently recognized with an award for "Best Sound Design of a Musical" for her work in Showtime Theatre Company's Grease. Most recently, she was the Sound & Projections Apprentice at Studio Theatre for their 2022/23 season. Sarah also has experience in electrics, stage management, wardrobe, and run crew. She is a quick learner, determined, creative, and strives for effective communication and collaboration.
Sarah now works as a freelance audio engineer, technician, designer, and electrician for both events and theatres in the DMV area.
